Elise Whang

Elise Whang is an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission in the Bureau of Consumer Protection in Washington, DC. Prior to working at the FTC, she worked at a national law firm on civil litigation cases focused on comparative advertising matters and defense of government enforcement proceedings. In the past, Ms. Whang has been an active member of the Taiwanese and Asian American community. In law school, she served as president of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and was also an active member in the Society of Taiwanese Americans in DC.  She was president of the Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Student Association at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She also interned at the Center for Taiwan International Relations in DC. Ms. Whang has lived in Taiwan in an effort to continually improve her Taiwanese and studied Mandarin at National Taiwan University.
